RECOMMENDED USES: Suitable for use on walkways, steps, ramps, locker room floors, boat decks, tennis courts and a variety of other interior and exterior concrete, wood, and metal surfaces that have been properly prepared. This product is not for use in areas where it will be underwater; it is also not for use on garage floors or other areas of wheeled vehicle traffic. Please note that our Clear Super Acrylic can appear whitish when wet and return to clear when dry.
We recommend our 3/8th inch nap roller refill with our one part anti slip coatings. We suggest back-brushing after rolling to help with penetration and uniformity for steps, ramps and similar small areas for best performance and longevity.
SURFACE PREPARATION for application of this product to concrete surfaces:
- Please ensure that there are no structural defects, ponding water, or hydrostatic moisture from below the surface.
- The substrate should be dry and clean, no contamination, dirt, dust, mildew/algae, oil, grease, efflorescence, water repellents, sealers, chemical de-icers, and any other foreign matter.
- New concrete should age at least 30 days.
- The surface should be "open" and porous through acid etching, power washing/blasting, or mechanically abrading so the coating may obtain adhesion.
- All grease, oil, and other stains/contaminates must be removed with a cleaner/degreaser according to instructions.
- This is usually best done by power washing. The surface must be suitable for coating to begin with or else it should be repaired or replaced first.
Note: Smaller areas may be able to be adequately prepared by hand rather than with large equipment but the condition achieved before coating must be just as good.
Label directions should be followed for application and curing.
